All group leaders will be provided with detailed staging instructions.

 

All group leaders will check in with the Street Marshal on their staging street EXCEPT A Division. A Division group leaders will check in at the 101 Cafe.

 

B, D, F and H Divisions enter staging streets from Ditmar Street - no access from Coast Highway.

 

C, E, G and J Divisions enter from Oceanside Boulevard only - no access from side streets.

 

All participants should review Parade Rules at the bottom of this page.

NO PARKING IN THE STAGING AREAS UNTIL THE ROADS HAVE BEEN CLOSED (approx. 8:00 A.M.), THE BARRICADES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED AND THE MARSHALLS (IN YELLOW VESTS) ARE ON SITE. IF YOU ARRIVE EARLY, PLEASE PARK OFF-SITE.

If you are in "A" Division, here are additional load-in directions:


- Each staging street is divided into parade entry locations marked with chalk

- On each block, entry locations position # begin at Coast Highway increase upward toward Cleveland St.
- Each parade entry has their own staging location marked by their entry number
- Each staging location will have a chalk mark at the beginning and end of your space
- Your entry line up number will be marked in the center of your location
- If your entry has a vehicle, park the vehicle on the forward (eastern) line of your location and toward the right curb as you face Coast Hwy.

Please make arrangements for only one representative from your group to check-in outside of the 101 Café, located on the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Coast Highway. Parade check in begins promptly at 9:00 am and parade officials will be on hand to assist with locating your group’s line up position, if necessary.

The check in area will close promptly at 9:30 am and if you have not checked in by this time, your group will be removed from the announcers’ scripts. There will be a porta-potty that may be used. Please do not disturb other businesses on your staging street.

There will be Street Marshals at your staging location to assist you in locating your position and answer any questions that you may have. The Street Marshals are volunteers. Please treat them with courtesy.

If you are in B, D, F, or H Division, here are additional load in directions:

 

- Your group is staging on a side street accessible via S. Ditmar Street ONLY.
- Each staging street is divided into parade entry locations marked with chalk
- On each block, entry location position # begin at Coast Highway and numerically increase upward toward Ditmar St.
- Each parade entry has their own staging location marked by their entry number
- Each staging location will have a chalk mark at the beginning and end of your space
- Your entry line up number will be marked in the center of your location
- If your entry has a vehicle, park the vehicle on the forward (western) line of your location and toward the right curb as you face Coast Hwy.


Please note the check-in procedure has changed. Proceed to your staging area and check in with the Street Marshal on your street. Parade check in begins promptly at 8:00 am and parade officials will be on hand to assist with locating your group’s line up position, if necessary.

Check-in will close promptly at 8:30 am and if you have not checked in by this time, your group will be removed from the announcers’ scripts.


If you are in AC, C, E, G, or I Division, here are additional load-in directions:


You will be entering at Oceanside Blvd and Coast Hwy no earlier than 8:30 am. Please proceed to your section (see signs in street) and line up on the left or right side of the street as directed above.

- Each parade entry has their own staging location marked by their entry number
- Each staging location will have a chalk mark at the beginning and end of your space
- Your entry line up number will be marked in the center of your location
- If your entry has a vehicle, park the vehicle on the forward (eastern) line of your location on Coast Highway.

RESTROOMS AND ASSISTANCE

Porta-potties are located near the intersection of Ditmar Street and Eucalyptus, on West Street near the church, Leonard Street near the church, and across from the 101 Café on Wisconsin.  Your street marshal has a map. Please do not disturb the residents on your staging street. Please put all of your trash in the receptacles located on each staging street.

Trash/ Recycle: The City of Oceanside is committed to ensuring waste diversion and recycling at all special events.  Please review the attached map for trash/recycle container locations.  It is important to ensure all members in your party not only use these containers but also choose the correct container for trash or recycling.  If you have any questions, please contact the MainStreet office prior to the event or on parade day ask anyone in a yellow safety vest.
